Tour of Mont Blanc cycling trip


More than a challenge, an unforgettable cycling experience.

We will start our cycling tour of Mont Blanc in Megève, a traditional alpine village. You will ride during 4 stages, through 3 country, around the highest summit of the Alps.
Climb many mythical passes with always the Mont Blanc mountain chain in your eyes.
Tour du Mont Blanc cycling trip total denivelation is 8800m for 330km.

Megève - Chamonix
50km - 800m D+
Our Tour of Mont Blanc bike tour start in Megève. During the briefing, we will talk with you about stages and give you our first advice.
A first day as a warm up! To get ready, we will ride through Domancy, where the badger won the world championship in 1980, and beautifull small roads to Chamonix Mont-Blanc. You will ride with the breathtaking view of Mont Blanc mountain chain in front of you. At the hotel located in the heart of Chamonix, you will enjoy the spa and the bar area.

Chamonix - Col Grand Saint-Bernard 
90km - 3400m D+
Chamonix is the host city of our queen stage with 4 climbs, 90km and 3400m D+. Through Col des Montets (1461m) and Col de la Forclaz (1527m), we will join the Swiss roads and Martigny located in the wallis wineyards. 
After Martigny you will start climbing col de Champex, then Col Grand Saint Bernard (2455m) our first over category climb. Our hotel will be located on the top of Col Grand Saint Bernard. You will be able to take a maximum of oxygen.

Col Grand St Bernard - Bourg St Maurice 
105km - 2250m D+
A long stage in Italy but mostly in downhill.
The start might be a bit chilly! 30km of downhill to join Aosta valley. In Morgex, we will turn left to start a short but tuff col : il Colle San Carlo! Colle San Carlo is really famous and oftenly taken by Tour of Italy pro rider. Col Petit Saint Bernard (2188m) will be our last climb of this day. Col Petit Saint Bernard is the boarder betwin Italy and France.

Bourg Saint Maurice - Megeve 
90km - 2300m D+
The last stage won't be a parade with 90km and 2 first category climbs. In first, you will climb the most beautill col of our trip :Cormet de Roselend (1967m) and its lake. Hauteluce village will mark the beginging of our last climb, col des Saisies. Les Saisies ski resort was the host city of winter Olympic game in 1992. The last part to Megève migh be our parade of our Mont Blanc Tour!

Malgovert hotel*** on the Great Apine Rooad in france is a typical alpine hotel. We will have a warm after ride there!
In Megève, you can ask us for an extra night before or after your bike trip to extend your experience. We can book for you Les Loges Blanches hotel****.

What do you need to bring for your Tour of Mont Blanc by bike?

Your bike
Your bike cleaned in good mechanical working order! We strongly advise you that you have good tires and brakes that work. If you prefer to travel without your bike please contact us and we will look to supply a quality road ride bike for your ride.
Your helmet
Your cycle helmet that we required you to wear at all times on the bike.
Insurance
PAIANI Sport Organisation insists on insurance for yourself and equipment. Cycling on open alpine roads can be dangerous. In the event of medical support, lost baggage or if you need to cancel your trip, insurance can be essential. Please ensure your insurance covers you for sport. In addition it is recommended that EU Nationals hold an EHIC card for reciprocal health care provision within the EU.
